ABOUT ME

After graduating from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Zoological Conservation, I pursued a career rescuing and rehabilitating wild animals at the Center for Wildlife in Maine. It was exciting and rewarding work, but it was also challenging in unexpected ways.  A wildlife rehabilitator’s imperative is to avoid establishing relationships with our wild wards, so they can return to their habitats with their natural instincts intact.  I fully believed in and adhered to that mission, and continue to today on those occasions when I rescue wild animals. But it took a level of detachment that I found difficult to sustain. So I veered slightly off my career path–while still devoting myself to the health and wellbeing of animals–and became a dog trainer. Certified by one of the top dog trainer academies in the country, Starmark Academy, I am doing what I love.

It is my passion and devotion to the well being of all animals that makes me a great trainer.  I don't train to make you the master of your dog.  I train to build an even stronger bond between you and your furry family member.
